Despite the fact I was satisfied with the medical aspect of my care, I have been disappointed with the customer service and responsiveness. Prior to my surgery in December, I was informed that I was to pay my coinsurance in full prior to my surgery inclusive of two potential procedure during the surgery. I paid over $1,500 in good faith to satisfy said coinsurance. During the surgery, the doctor found only one procedure was necessary. I requested a reimbursement of my coinsurance for the procedure found not to be needed. Over the past six months, I have contacted Ahuja billing, been passed onto billing management. Left numerous phone messages, which went unreturned. I turned to the practice for help. Was told practice manager would contact me. No call. I finally got ahold of the billing coordinator last month and was told I do indeed have money due me but these situations "take time". It is now six months and I have received no reimbursement despite my efforts. It shouldn't take a half a year to process this request. It has truly soured my experience there. Regrets

"Dr." Gobezie misdiagnosed my partially torn rotator cuff as a torn bicep. He was so sure of himself that he didn't need to do an x-ray or a MRI. He actually scheduled me for surgery. I decided to get a second and third opinion. Both other doctors told me that I did have a partially torn rotator cuff and NOT a torn bicep - after an MRI. One actually told me that Gobezie regularly performs unnecessary surgeries and that, after physical therapy, the patients feel better; when all along, they would have felt just as good with no surgery and just PT. I was fortunate enough to have an excellent doctor who injected me with stem cells. 2 weeks later (before PT) , my pain was all but gone. 1 year later I am 95%. I tell everyone I know to steer clear of this quack.
Ever since my shoulder surgery in 2013 I recommend Dr. Gobezie to everyone. He is one of the best if not the best Doctor I have ever gotten treatment from. He is a very approachable surgeon and during the whole process he never pressured me into surgery (I ended up calling him when I couldn't stand the pain anymore). He made it a point to give me all the facts he could along with his best judgement after hearing my symptoms and seeing my MRI. Post SLAP surgery in 2013 I have experienced no discomfort during and after playing sports I enjoy which used to flare up annoying shoulder pain every time I played.
Dr. Gobezie is a superb surgeon! I have had both reverse total shoulder replacements and recommend him highly. Further when meeting with Dr. Gobezie he explains things clearly and takes enough time with you. I’d add that his staff is excellent.
The answer was alway the same. I was bone on bone. Then one
